Importance Of Hair Removal

Unwanted hair is the biggest problem for anyone who wants to look attractive. Men don’t want themselves to be called Grizzly for the body hair they are having. Men with good body would like to get rid the hair which covers their chiseled body. For women unwanted hair is big problem because body hair is so masculine and facial hair and hair on the legs and hands is a big problem for them.


For thousands of years men started getting rid of this unwanted hair by using the most primitive method of shaving the hair. Somehow this method worked well for men because they liked the roughness of their chin devoid of hair. His has become a masculine feature. The same method is not good for a woman with facial hair because shaving leaves the skin looking and feeling rough. Women always liked to have smooth glowing skin and shaking failed to give them this.


The blades used for shaving has developed over the last thousands of years from primitive blade to straight razors to electric razors. Though using a razor has become more convenient with technological development, the result of a shaving has remained almost same with exception of a little more smoothness depending on the razor’s cost. However smooth shave you might have with the best of the razors, this type of hair removal solution works only for few hours. Within twelve hours you can feel the hair growing back and the roughness of your skin.


This method of hair removal by shaving was not good enough for women who prefer smoother skin than men. So for the benefit of women, depilatory creams or hair removal creams are developed which gives smoother results than a shaving razor. These creams when applied onto your skin effect chemical reactions on you hair making it to come out of the hair follicle. Though these creams work for a longer time span than the shaving cream, this is not a permanent solution for hair removal. These creams are available as gels and aerosols. Even men who prefer to shave their facial hair and like to have a rough chin, prefer hair removal creams for their body hair. There are two reasons for this, shaving body hair is not an easy task and thick body skin is not preferred even by men. Friends also make fun of men with lot of body hair calling them grizzlies and missing links. If they shave the body hair then the rough skin make them look like water buffalos.


Waxing is other method of hair removal, which is quite painful but the result is very satisfactory. This method gives a smooth skin and as it removes the skin from the root it takes several weeks for the hair to grow back. One cannot have the consistency in look of the skin as there will be different sizes of hair present in various degrees before they are waxed once again. Though women use them to remove the unwanted hair from their legs and hands, this is not good method for facial hair. So another method was developed which is called electrolysis. This method gives very satisfactory results cosmetically and is longstanding. But this is also not a permanent method of hair removal.


Man’s quest for better methods with the development of technology in every sphere of life, lead to better products. As for hair removal is concerned, man developed something called laser hair removal. This method of hair removal is very effective and its effectiveness is increasing with newer developments in its technology.
